Terms and Conditions for nameLibre

Welcome to nameLibre! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the nameLibre mobile app (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What nameLibre Does

nameLibre checks whether a username or name appears to be available on a number of websites, social networks, domain registries and the App Store, and suggests names generated by artificial intelligence.
The results are indicative, not guaranteed. Each site has its own rules (reserved words, minimum length, suspended or private accounts, trademark policies), and sites change how they respond. A name shown as “free” may not be registrable, and a name shown as “taken” may be available. Always confirm on the site itself before relying on a result.
The App does not register, reserve or buy any name or domain for you, and does not check trademarks or other intellectual-property rights. You are responsible for making sure a name does not infringe anyone's rights before using it.
AI ideas are suggestions produced automatically; they may be inaccurate, unsuitable, or coincide with existing names or brands. You decide what to do with them.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the App to check names for your own projects. You may not use it to harass or impersonate anyone, to harvest data about other people's accounts, to probe sites in an automated or abusive way, or in any manner that violates the terms of the sites being checked or applicable law.

4. Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App (or the minimum age required in your country to agree to these Terms).

5. License to Use the App

I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not modify, copy, reverse-engineer, distribute, rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it. All designs, graphics, the ✱ mascot and code remain the property of the developer.

6. Free Plan, Pro Subscription and Fair Use

Free plan: the App includes 5 name checks (counted by distinct names) and 5 AI ideas, at no cost.
nameLibre Pro (auto-renewable yearly subscription): unlimited name checks and 100 AI ideas per calendar month. The price is shown in the App before you buy and may vary by region.
Renewal and cancellation: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period is not refunded.
Fair use: AI features depend on third-party services and have a daily limit per device to keep the service sustainable. Limits may be adjusted to prevent abuse.
Availability of the AI features and of each checked site depends on third parties and an internet connection. I will do my best to keep everything working, but I cannot guarantee that every site will always answer.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled solely under Apple's policy: Apple Support.

7. Your Content

The names you check, your favorites and the project descriptions you write are yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for what you type; please do not include other people's personal information in project descriptions.

8. Privacy & Data

Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what the App handles and where.

9. Third-Party Sites

nameLibre is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok, X, Google, YouTube, Snap, Bluesky, Twitch, Kick, GitHub, Reddit, Pinterest, Verisign or any registry. Their names and logos belong to their owners. Opening a profile from the App takes you to that site, under its own terms.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for decisions you take based on the App's results or suggestions (including registering, buying or using a name), nor for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

11. Changes & Termination

I may update these Terms or the App. The “Last Updated” date shows the latest version. You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

13. Apple

These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) also applies: apple.com/legal/…/stdeula.
