Privacy Policy for Ridiculous Steps

Ridiculous Steps (the “App”) is operated by Eugenio Keller Puente (freelancer, Spain). The App was designed to keep your health data on your iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what the App handles, where it stays, and your rights under applicable laws (including the GDPR).
1. Who is the Data Controller?

2. Health Data
- With your permission, the App reads your step count and walking + running distance from Apple Health (from your iPhone and Apple Watch). It never writes anything to Health.
- This data is used only on your device, to show your steps, comparisons and goals. It is never sent to the developer, never sold, and never used for advertising.
- You can revoke access at any time in iPhone Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Your start date, the goals you pick and complete, and your language and unit preferences are stored only on your iPhone.
4. The Global Route (Game Center)
If you are signed in to Game Center, the App submits one number to an Apple Game Center leaderboard: the total distance you have walked since your start date. This is used to show where most people are on the global route. Like any Game Center leaderboard, other players may see your Game Center nickname and that distance. This is handled by Apple. If you are not signed in, nothing is submitted.
5. Purchases
The optional purchase that unlocks goals is processed entirely by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details or identity. Refunds are handled by Apple: Apple Support.
6. What the App Does Not Do
No accounts, no servers of its own, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no sharing of data with third parties.
7. Children & Age
Ridiculous Steps is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
Because the App keeps its information on your device, you can remove everything by deleting the App. Game Center data can be managed in your Apple account. For any concerns, contact contact@kubographics.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
9. Changes to this Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features or legal requirements. The “Effective Date” above will always show the latest version.
