Terms and Conditions for Ridiculous Steps

Welcome to Ridiculous Steps! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ridiculous Steps mobile app (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. The App

Ridiculous Steps counts the steps recorded in Apple Health and compares them, for fun, with very large distances and goals. Distances are estimates based on your steps and your average stride; comparisons are playful and not precise measurements. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Health & Safety

• The App is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Consult a doctor before starting any exercise programme.
• Goals are meant to be fun, not targets to push yourself beyond your limits.
• Walk safely: don't look at your phone while crossing streets, driving or in any situation that requires your attention.

4. License to Use the App

I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal purposes. You may not modify, copy, reverse-engineer, distribute, rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it. All designs, graphics and code remain the property of the developer.

5. In-App Purchase

• Ridiculous Goals (one-time purchase) unlocks the goals and your collection for as long as you have the App, and can be restored with “Restore purchase”.
• All purchases are processed by Apple. Prices may vary by region. Refunds are handled solely under Apple’s policy: Apple Support.

6. Global Route & Game Center

• The “most people” marker on the global route uses an Apple Game Center leaderboard and is subject to Apple’s terms. Your Game Center nickname and distance may be visible to other players.
• Distances obtained by manipulating Health data or the device are not valid and may be removed. I do not guarantee that the leaderboard will always be available or accurate.

7. Privacy & Data

Your health data stays on your iPhone. For details, please review the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

9. Changes & Governing Law

I may update these Terms or the App; the “Last Updated” date shows the latest version. These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
